A message from our Acting Principal
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the St John’s College community. We are dedicated to nurturing spiritual, academic, social, physical and experiential growth to accompany our young people as they traverse their years of secondary education. The ‘Woodlawn Way’ permeates our daily interactions. Our way is to foster respectful relationships and ignite a passion for learning within the safety of a caring Pastoral care system. We aim to chart the growth of aspirational, inclusive individuals.
Woodlawn is proud of its Catholic heritage and lived in the Marist tradition. We are proud of our history and past achievements and proud of the transformation of the College into a modern co-educational school meeting the demands of academic and vocational expectations set by a vibrant and fluid society.
We thank the parents who have entrusted their children to our care. We also thank the students and teachers of this present community for bringing their talents and enthusiasm to continue the tradition of striving for their personal best, as exemplified by those who have lived its history.
We make it our priority to ensure that young people are at the centre of all that we do. A Woodlawn education is an opportunity to achieve goals, seek challenges and develop the unique qualities that we all possess. We believe that talent cannot be taught but can be awakened.
